Infared Camcorder?

I own a SONY Handycam (the newest one) that has Super Nightshot Plus. Can anyone tell me how I can turn this into an infrared camcorder? I realy don’t want to take it apart unless I REALY know what im doing.
I’ve seen some of the websights that show you how to do this with other cameras, but not the SONY Handycam.

why don’t you put it on night shot… that’s infrared… if it’s like mine though, it picks up regular light too… what are you using it for? night or day? For night use you could buy a handful of IR LED’s and rig up a IR flashlight or IR floodlight for shooting…

my mother has a sony cam with the night vision on it. on hers theres a switch just to the left of the lens just right above the screen. when that switch is on everything turns from dark to day to the camera. yours could be a little diffrent. and there should be a button that would say nightshot. or you may have to look for it in the menu. just play with it for a while youll find it.
